Thibaut Courtois reiterates desire for ‘best friend’ Eden Hazard to join him in Spain but insists he doesn’t know if Chelsea star will sign for Real Madrid

The Belgian duo are close friends having played together with the national team and Chelsea.
And the goalkeeper would love to join forces with Hazard at the Bernabeu, although he has no idea if a summer move is on the cards, he told Marca.

‘(Hazard) is one of my best friends in football,’ he said.
‘I do not know if he’s going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club wants him.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will sanction a sale of their best player when the transfer window opens, particularly given that a transfer ban means they cannot bring anyone in to replace him.

But Courtois asserts: ‘I do not regret coming, Madrid is the club I always wanted to be at.
‘Defending this goal is a luxury. I think: “How cool is it be there every two weeks”.’
