Southampton have agreed a deal for Birmingham City’s highly-rated teenage forward Ramello Mitchell.
The 16-year-old will move to St Mary’s in a £300,000 transfer that could rise to £1million.
Mitchell has been followed by a number of top clubs including Wolves, Liverpool, Manchester United and Leeds United after impressing playing for Birmingham’s U16s and U18s.

However, the prolific youngster has opted for Southampton, convinced they can provide him with a clear pathway to first team football if he continues to develop.
Birmingham have also lost promising 13-year-old Ty Barnett.
The midfielder is joining Premier League Wolves for a nominal compensation fee.
