President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has expressed disappointment over the loss of life of the primary elected President of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari.
Saraki in an announcement by his Particular Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, described the late Shagari because the final of the First and Second Republic titans.
He mentioned that Shagari was a person of peace who devoted the larger a part of his life to the service of the fatherland.
He famous that former President could be remembered for his immense contributions to the political and socio-economic growth of the nation in addition to his peaceable disposition.

“He was a person who labored for the unity of Nigeria and stabilized the nation throughout the 50 months of the Second Republic regardless of the challenges of the then new presidential system of presidency operated by the nation.
“Since his exit from energy, he has remained a silent beacon of energy for the nation”, the Senate President said.
Saraki prayed Allah to grant the soul of the late former President a spot among the many righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus and his household, family members and the whole nation the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
