Stefano Pioli has reportedly resigned from his position as Fiorentina Coach, with Primavera boss Emiliano Bigica set to take over.
Fiorentina released a statement on Monday evening appearing to back Pioli after a poor run of results, but Sky Sport Italia and several other publications claim he has stepped down.
Replacing him until the end of the season will be Bigica, a former Viola player who is currently in charge of their youth team.
The 53-year-old was appointed Fiorentina Coach in the summer of 2017 and guided the side to an eighth-place finish in Serie A last season, despite the death of captain Davide Astori.
However, the Tuscans have won just one of their last 11 games, although they have a Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Atalanta to look forward to.
