The Brazilian has scored 20 goals and provided 11 assists in 68 appearances at the Nou Camp following his £145million move from Liverpool in January 2018.
The Catalan giants’ plan for him to replace Andres Iniesta has failed and Coutinho is said to have a number of admirers after his impressive time in the Premier League, with Manchester United among the clubs interested in him.

But Bartomeu has given his backing to the 26-year-old ahead of Barcelona’s second leg against Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
‘Coutinho is a great player, excellent, and he’s getting better and better,’ he told TVE.
‘It’s not easy to play at Barca, he was here for six months last season and he has the confidence of the coach, he’s a global player and we expect a lot from him.

‘He will continue at Barca, it’s different and Barca needs different players.’
Bartomeu also shed light on the speculation linking Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona.
Barcelona fans ferociously taunted Griezmann during their victory over Atletico Madrid earlier this month after he rejected the chance to join the Catalan giants last summer.
The French forward was strongly linked with a move to Barca but eventually announced he was committing himself to Atletico in a documentary entitled ‘The Decision’, signing a new deal until 2023.

Recent reports in Spain suggest Griezmann feels he made a mistake in committing his future to Atletico after they exited the Champions League at the last-16 stage and are once again struggling to keep pace with Barca in the title race.
‘[Griezmann] is an Atletico Madrid player and he has a contract [with them],’ Bartomeu added.
‘If Griezmann wanted to come, he would have to talk to the coaches, but his name is not on the table.
‘There is a lot of speculation in the press, but Griezmann is not on the table and he has not called Barcelona.’
