Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu is not disturbed by the criticisms that trailed his performance in the team’s 2-0 defeat to the Barea of Madagascar, reports Completesports.com.
Ogu was handed his first start of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations against the debutants, but was hauled off after the break following a below par showing.
The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva modfoelder has however decided to put the setback behind him and focus on the task ahead.
”All good really. That loss was a wake-up call for me and the team. I don’t cry or complain instead I think to be better . When I play good, they praised me so it’s cool and understandable for the fans to expect my A game in every game. My focus is against Cameroon . Thank you 🙏🙏,” Ogu tweeted his Twitter platform.
The Super Eagles will take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in their Round of 16 encounter at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday.
The highly anticipated encounter will kick-off at 5pm Nigerian time.
