Easter week in Nicaragua falls on the first anniversary of mass protests when rallies for social security reform turned into a movement against the government of President Daniel Ortega.

More than 300 people died and tens of thousands fled the country.

A year later, the country is reflecting on the ultimate cost of the crisis.
