Cagliari Coach Rolando Maran has called on the club’s fans to get behind the team in their upcoming Serie A game against Frosinone on Saturday.

The Rossoblu host a Canarini side who have lost just three of their last eight away games, and Maran warned they would not be pushovers at his pre-match Press conference.

“We will play a formidable away side and we will need to attack them from the start,” he explained.

“Their numbers speak for themselves. Frosinone are a good team on the road.Baroni’s side don’t give too much away.

“We will need patience to break them down and we will also need the encouragement of our fans.”

Maran then spoke about the importance of veteran defender Darijo Srna, who has recovered just in time for this fixture.

“He’s good, he’s trained well like always. He is contributing a lot to this team. All my players have shown that they have grown this season and tomorrow will be another good opportunity to prove it.

“They have grown not only on the technical level but also in their character. At this time of the season, our energy levels could drop and it is difficult to recover from some games, but that is why we must give our all tomorrow.”

The former Chievo boss ended by talking about his side’s aims for the final part of the season and where they could potentially finish.

“Our primary objective is to stay up and we haven’t achieved that yet,” he stressed.

“The players are enthusiastic and that makes me happy, it means the lads have the support of the fans.

“We have shown that with commitment we can work towards bigger objectives, but first we must focus on survival.

“After that, if there is the possibility to aim for something else, it will mean we have earned the right on the field.”
