Manchester United are believed to be among a trio of elite European clubs in the hunt for Sporting Lisbon’s midfield star Bruno Fernandes.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a stunning season in Portugal, and scored his 28th goal of the season in the 3-1 win over Aves on Saturday.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a fight on his hands if he is to entice the Portuguese international to Old Trafford next season.

Scouts from United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain were present to watch him against Aves over the weekend, according to Portuguese outlet Bola.
Representatives from other French and German clubs were also in attendance, the report claims.
It has proved to be a breakout season for Fernandes, who was part of the Portugal squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

It has been his best goalscoring return by some distance, he already has 10 more than in his previous best, 2017-18.
He joined the club in 2017 after a loan spell at Sampdoria from Udinese.
Fernandes began his career at Boavista but first moved to Italy at the age of 17 by joining Novara Calcio.
