Mainstream energy solution donates N500m medical equipment to Niger, Kogi, FCT

Covid-19: Mainstream Energy Solutions of Nigeria, the operators of Kainji and Jenna hydro power stations in Niger state,  has donated hospital equipment and consumables worth N500 million to Niger, Kogi and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) towards curtailing the coronavirus pandemic in the states.

The Head of Corporate Communications of the company, Mr Gbenga Adebola, stated this yesterday while presenting the medical facilities to Niger state government in Minna.

According to him, “These equipment will be used to establish 50 bed capacity additional isolation centre in Niger state. Some of the equipment are going to be donated to Abuja Teaching Hospital and Kogi state to compliment federal and states government efforts in curbing the spread of the virus.

He said listed the items donated  to include, sanitisers, N-95 face masks, analysers, monitors, clinical globs, 50 beds and mattresses and 5 ventilators in which Niger state to benefit one.

Receiving the materials, the wife of Niger state governor, Dr Amina Abubakar Sani Bello appreciated the support of the company to government, assuring to make good use of the goods donated 

She explained that Minna rehabilitation centre has been converted to isolation center, adding that the state governor has approved the establishment of 12 isolation centers in the state.

Dr Amina said that some of the donated medical equipment were not in existence before now in the state saying that the presence of such will enhanced hospital services and health delivery.
