The makeup artist was asked by a radio listener if there was any ‘weirdness with Matt that didn’t air on the show’.
Lauren revealed that what Matt supposedly told her stuck in her mind.
‘He actually said: ‘Loz, I feel like I don’t fit in on this earth and I believe I was abducted by aliens and they’ve done something to my brain, because my brain has been rewired differently. I feel like my brain hasn’t been the same since I was 15.’
Bizarre: Lauren said, ‘[Matt] actually said: ‘Loz, I feel like I don’t fit in on this earth and I believe I was abducted by aliens’
She claims the conversation took place after they consummated their marriage.
‘It really concerned me, because a part of me was like I’m concerned, I don’t know what to do, I care about this guy. I really, really liked him,’ she said.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
Unusual: Lauren said she was lost for words when Matt made the alien claims
Meanwhile, Lauren also claimed that Matt’s affection toward her on-screen was always prompted by producers and never came naturally.
‘He’s admitted to me that he’s not capable of feeling affection, he was never shown affection and he doesn’t know how to give affection,’ she said.
She went on to say that their honeymoon felt like a ‘stitch up’, as Matt doesn’t drink alcohol yet they were sent to a winery in Adelaide.
‘What a great idea to send us to a winery. He’s never touched alcohol in his life!’ Lauren also said her Adelaide honeymoon felt like a ‘stitch up’, as Matt was a non-drinker
‘What a great idea to send us to a winery, what a stitch up that was. He’s never touched alcohol in his life!’ she said.
