Cristiano Ronaldo, as expected, misses Juventus’ Serie A match against Empoli on Saturday, but Mattia De Sciglio is back.

Ronaldo was rested for Juve’s 2-0 defeat to Genoa last time out, but the No 7 then picked up a hamstring injury during the international break.

However, De Sciglio has recovered from a muscle problem that has kept him out for the past three weeks.

The full-back is joined in the squad by Mattia Perin, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Moise Kean and Federico Bernardeschi – all of whom represented Italy over the past fortnight.

Sami Khedira, Douglas Costa, Andrea Barzagli and Juan Cuadrado, on the other hand, remain sidelined.

Juve squad to face Empoli: Szczesny, Perin, Pinsoglio; De Sciglio, Chiellini, Caceres, Alex Sandro, Bonucci, Cancelo, Rugani; Pjanic, Matuidi, Emre Can, Bentancur, Nicolussi Caviglia; Dybala, Mandzukic, Kean, Bernardeschi
