Juve can win Serie A, if…
Juventus can become the earliest title winners in Serie A history this weekend, but they need two results to go their way.
Juve simply need to beat Milan on Saturday and hope Napoli lose to Genoa 26-and-a-half hours later to be crowned Italian champions for the eighth consecutive season.
Although there would still be 21 points to play for, the Old Lady beat the Partenopei in both of their meetings this term, giving them head-to-head advantage.
The Bianconeri have 26 wins, three draws and only one defeat after 30 games, and no team in Serie A history has built up an 18-point lead over the side in second place at this stage of the campaign.
Even if Napoli manage to beat Genoa, Juve would be able to take the Scudetto with victory over SPAL next weekend.
Max Allegri, for his part, on course to become the first-ever Coach to win five successive Serie A titles, although he would still lag one behind Giovanni Trapattoni’s record total of seven.
Eight victories from their remaining eight matches would see Juve not only set a new record points tally of 105 – three more than Antonio Conte’s 102 from the 2013-14 campaign – but also surpass Inter’s all-time high of 15 away wins in a single season.
