Matthijs de Ligt has the ability to play for Manchester United, according to Jesper Olsen.
The former Ajax and United winger has talked up the possibility of the talented Dutch central defender moving to Old Trafford in the summer.
He is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and a number of top clubs, including Barcelona, have been keeping tabs on his progress.

‘No doubt about it [he could play for United],’ Olsen told Omnisport.
‘Playing at Ajax, you have to be a quality player. So, of course he could [play for United], no doubt about it. He could fit into any top team at the moment.’
The 19-year-old made his Ajax debut in 2016 and has turned out for his boyhood club more than 100 times already.

Olsen added: ‘I think nowadays the top clubs are very much of the same belief in how you play, they like to be in control of the game.
‘So as long as he goes to one of those clubs, I think a player of [his] calibre would fit in in most teams.’
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are battling for a place in the Champions League and their qualification could be an important factor in the youngster deciding where to play next season.
