After the expiration of his three years record deal with SS Sounds record label, Edo State born singer, Rapheal Oshionebo, a.k.a RIO delved into the real estate business, but he soon returned to his first love, music, which had always been his passion and forte.

According to the bludgeoning singer, who is fully geared up to release a new single, afro-beat, hip-hop, R&B and reggae genres of music brings out the best of his musical ability. He acknowledges the likes of Fela, Wizkid and 2Baba as those that have largely influenced him musically over the years. Raphael is coming out with a bang as he is set to drop his new single soon.

RIO, whose musical journey started while growing up in Edo State, says he had always known he wanted to do  music professionally and ever since, he has not allowed anything stand in his way of achieving this dream of becoming a music star.

The second of four children, his family has always been of great support to his musical career. He attended Blessed Josephine Primary School Bakhita and Lumen Christi International High school, Uromi Edo State; before proceeding to study Microbiology at the University of Abuja.
