‘I’d like to see him at Leicester but Manchester United is difficult to turn down’: Harry Maguire should stay put until he is the ‘big dog in town’, says former Foxes defender Robert Huth

Former Leicester City centre back Robert Huth believes Harry Maguire should resist the advances of Manchester United… for now.
Maguire is said to be on United’s watch-list ahead of a summer shopping spree and fellow Foxes favourite Huth accepts that advances from Old Trafford may be hard to turn down — for both the player and Leicester.
But Huth, who spent three years at Leicester between 2015 and 2018, thinks Maguire would be better off staying where he is for a couple more seasons.

‘If you’re Leicester and you’re getting that money offered, it’s a tough one to say no to,’ 2016 Premier League winner Huth told the Daily Star.
‘Obviously the first year [at Leicester] and the World Cup were the best 18 months he could have wished for.
‘When he first came, he was struggling a little bit. But he’s only 26, you’re going to have bad games and get sent off. That’s part and parcel of it as a centre back.
‘I’d like to see him at Leicester, but Manchester United is difficult to turn down — both financially and with the potential to win stuff.’
Huth retired from professional football last year but he still follows the fortunes of his former club — and he predicting a bright future under new manager Brendan Rodgers.
On Maguire, Huth added: ‘Winning the title is not on the cards, but I’d say to him play another 100 games for Leicester.
‘Become a proper, proper centre back with games under your belt and everyone knows you’re the big dog in town. When you then move to a big club, it becomes a lot easier.’
United were linked with Maguire last summer, following the former Hull star’s excellent showing for England at Russia 2018.
Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly is also a long-term United target.
