The Super Eagles will play a minimum of three top-notch friendly matches before the start of the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt this summer according to Coach Gernot Rohr.
Nigeria will be going for their fourth title in Egypt after finishing top of their qualifying group courtesy of a 3-1 win over Seychelles on Friday at the Stephen Keshi stadium.
According to Rohr in an open speech, he said that the teams they will play in the upcoming friendlies to hold at the end of the European football season will be dependent on their opponents in next month’s AFCON draw in Cairo.
“We are looking forward to playing at least three quality friendly matches after the football season ends in Europe.
“I cannot talk more about the teams but I know the foes will be tough and competitive”, added Rohr.
Super Eagles finished first in group E with 13 points ahead of Bafana Bafana in the AFCON qualifications.
