Dissatisfied with the purported endorsement of an Ogun governorship, a bunch beneath the aegis of Political Events Chairmen Discussion board in Ogun has dissociated itself with it, calling it an act of political fraud.

The group mentioned the purported adoption and endorsement of the Allied Peoples Motion (APM) governorship candidate, Adekunle Akinlade, by 60 social gathering chairmen within the state was completely false.

The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) stories that Akinlade, who presently represents Ipokia space of Yewa within the Home of Representatives, is Gov. Ibikunle Amosun’s candidate.

The group, an affiliate of the Inter Celebration Advisory Council (IPAC), mentioned the pronouncement made by the Chairman of IPAC, Abayomi Arabambi, “will not be true”.

Addressing journalists in Abeokuta, the spokesperson for the group, Mr Olusegun Olufemi, mentioned it rejected in totality the adoption of any governorship candidate, describing the motion as “a gross misconduct, abuse of workplace and actions inimical to the structure of IPAC by its govt members in Ogun State”.

In line with him, IPAC by its guidelines and rules, has no mandate to endorse or undertake any candidate and additional described the adoption of Akinlade as “pretend and fraudulent”.

“We weren’t carried alongside concerning the adoption, Arabambi-led govt is like bread and butter, endorsing any political social gathering; his govt is a pretend masks and it needs to be frowned at by the folks.

“The IPAC’s chairman (Arabambi) has over stepped his bounds and we is not going to fold our arms and watch him shame different members of IPAC,” he mentioned.

Olufemi, who’s the Ogun chairman and the governorship candidate of Higher Nigerian Progressive Celebration (BNPP), famous that no fewer than 38 political events would vie for the governorship place within the state.

He added that IPAC’s major position was to make sure inter-party concord and never endorsing any explicit candidate, particularly when member-parties had their very own governorship candidates.

Olufemi, in firm of the state chairmen of Peoples Progressive Celebration (PPP), Mr Biola Lawal and the Freedom and Justice Celebration (FJP)’s  Mr Okuoye Taiwo, mentioned the Discussion board, made up of 10 political events, had written a petition to the Nationwide Chairman of IPAC, Mr Peter Ameh, over the matter.
