Confederation of Africa Football CAF has set May 5th as the date for all its member associations to confirm their stance on the conclusion of the halted 2019/20 season due to Corona Virus pandemic (COVID-19).
“The finals of the Confederation Cup and Champions League 2019/20 have been put on hold until further notice,” said a statement from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Cameroonian port city of Douala had been chosen to stage the Champions League final on Friday, May 29, at the recently built 50,000-seat Japoma Stadium.
The Confederation Cup final was to have been played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the Moroccan capital Rabat on Sunday, May 24.
But all these fixtures will be rejigged after the pandemic wears out with CAF asking its member countries to inform it when they will restart their leagues. Can't Find Latest News on today Your Search Term
