90s star Shannen Doherty has revealed she will appear in a reboot of Beverley Hills 90210, nearly 30 years after appearing in the original show.
The actress revealed the news on her Instagram page, with a picture featuring the cast in its 90s heyday.
In the post, she said: “Yes it’s official. The real question is…. will we still be rocking those outfits. #bh90210.”
The show followed a group of teenagers living in the up-market city of Beverley Hills near Los Angeles, as they grappled their way through their turbulent lives.
90210 was famed for tackling issues such as homophobia, date rape, racism and drug abuse.
The new series, which will feature six episodes, is called BH90210 and will feature stars such as Tori Spelling,Ian Ziering and Jason Priestly.
According to Fox, the actors will be playing a “heightened version of themselves”.
Shannen Doherty, 48, played the role of Brenda Walsh in 90210 between 1990 and 1994, and then reprised her role in 2008 for several episodes.
She also appeared in the supernatural drama Charmed, where she played the lead role in a family of witches.
When BH90210 was announced, Doherty and Luke Perry were the only original cast members not to appear.
Perry, who became a teenage heartthrob from his role in the show, died in March at the age of 52, after having a stroke.
BH90210 is expected to hit US screens in the summer.
