Frosinone Coach Marco Baroni saw the problems they were able to create for Inter once they “believed more and had good chances to equalise.”
Radja Nainggolan and an Ivan Perisic penalty had the Nerazzurri 2-0 up and comfortable, but Francesco Cassata’s daisy-cutter created a different atmosphere at the Stadio Stirpe.
“The team had a different spark about it in the second half, as in the first it was difficult to break through the Inter passing game,” Baroni told Sky Sport Italia after a 3-1 defeat.
“We were a little frenetic when we did have the ball and that caused us problems during the Inter goal incidents. We believed more after the break and had two good chances to get back on level terms, particularly Camillo Ciano’s free kick.
“We conceded the third goal in stoppages because we were all forward to seek the equaliser and completely unbalanced. The crowd has always been extraordinary and it’s disappointing we haven’t been able to give them more to celebrate. The team always fought hard with pride, courage and conviction.”
