Nigeria defender Leon Balogun will work under Graham Potter at Brighton & Hove Albion next season after the latter was appointed new head coach of the Seagulls on Monday, reports Completesports.com.
Potter, who joined Brighton after a season with Championship club Swansea now penned a four-year contract with the club.
The 43-year-old guided Swansea to tenth-place finish in the Championship during the recently concluded campaign.
He takes over from Chris Hughton who was dismissed last week Monday after the Seagulls barely escape the drop in the Premier League.
Potter will be joined at Brighton & Hove Albion by former Clyde and Hamilton manager Billy Reid, who takes up the position of assistant head coach.
Bjorn Hamberg, who linked up with Potter for the first time in his native Sweden, and becomes Albion’s first-team coach; and former Aberdeen and Peterhead player Kyle Macauley, who joins Albion as assistant head of recruitment.
Balogun linked up with Brighton last summer after ending his contract with German club FSV Mainz.
He however struggled for regular playing time at the club, making eight league appearances and scored one goal.
