2 Top eBay Selling Strategies

When it comes to the “great world” of eBay, lots of people are having success. You can have success too if you know what you’re doing, and if you know how to market yourself correctly on, AND off the site. Other than this though, you can definitely make eBay a second stream of income for you, and let it take you to new heights.

In this lesson, I want to share with you some of the things that you can do to make eBay profitable to you. Even if you’re already selling on eBay and want to earn more money selling on it, I’m confident that these techniques will work for you. Here’s the first tip for earning money on eBay starting right away:

1) Sell in a niche

This is important because you can easily become the “go-to” guy (or woman) in your niche. As you rack up great ratings and make sale after sale… your customers will come back for more because you’re one of the only people in your niche that they can rely on when it comes to selling quality products.

If you don’t know what I mean by “niche”, let me explain it to you real quick. A niche is small market where people are looking for something in particular. The easiest example that I give you to help you understand this concept is related to the field of golfers. Golf is a big niche online, but here’s how you can make a niche out of it.

The majority of golfers in the world are right handed. So if you create or find a product that was created for LEFT handed golfers, you could reach a lot of left-handed golfers and get them interested in your product. Can you see how much of a difference this makes? You could probably charge as much as you want to these people, and they will probably gladly pay you – because they LOVE golf. Here’s another tip for selling on eBay:

2) Analyze your competitors

Your competitors are people that you don’t want to let end your career on eBay. So to avoid them completely, you have to know who they are, what they sell, and how you can differentiate yourself from them. When I used to sell on eBay in the past, I had quite a bit of competitors, but I marketed myself in a way that was unique to the field.

I would offer individual items, but at the very beginning of each auction, I would advertise a link to a separate… “better” package deal where they could get the item that they were looking at – along with 20 more items for an affordable price. Nobody else was doing this on eBay, and I make a fortune with this technique.

You have to differentiate yourself from your competitors. You can’t avoid them completely, but you will have to adapt to the marketplace if you want to succeed on eBay in today’s day in age.
